New Zealand Mental Health Awareness Week 2021

Mā te kōrero, ka ora - a little chat can go a long way.

This MHAW is all about connecting with the people in our lives and creating space for conversations about mental health and wellbeing. Whether it’s checking in with a mate, having a kōrero over some kai or saying hello to a stranger, a little chat can go a long way.

World Mental Health Day 2021

Look after your mental health, Australia.

The theme for WMHD in Australia this year is “look after your mental health, Australia”. Good mental health is when we can cope with the stressors of our daily lives, participate in loving relationships, contribute to our community, and work towards our goals. Everyone has mental health. And we can all benefit from looking after our own mental health and the mental health of our communities.

Supporting Mental Health Awareness Week and World Mental Health Day 2021

Connection is so important right now… but increasingly difficult as we navigate the challenges that have come with Covid 19.

So, we will be providing a platform for our network to connect during MHAW starting Monday 27th September, with daily live kōrero (chats) on Zoom between Sir John Kirwan and various inspirational guests.

The chats will explore:

  • Mentemia's 6 pillars of wellbeing

  • The importance of connection during uncertain times

  • Ways to start a conversation and build connection.
